Join a Mission

Our mission trips are often life-changing experiences for both our volunteers and the communities we help.

What our volunteers do:

• Train health professionals to perform key medical procedures in numerous medical fields

• Help clean, sort, do inventory, and organize medical supplies.

• Build and equip the hospitals in areas the facilities may be lacking.

• Coordinate the delivery of thousands of pounds of donated medical equipment and supplies, everything from bed sheets to anesthesia machines

Documents

To join the mission, you will typically need:

• A Valid Passport: all volunteers must have a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity, plus a copy of your passport.

• Liability Waiver: all volunteers must fill out an agreement regarding assumption of risk and release and personal appearance release for photography.

• Copy of Proof of Vaccinations: all volunteers must comply with the vaccination guidelines outlined by the CDC website for Ethiopia and review recommended vaccines/medication needed before traveling to Ethiopia.

• Copy of Travel Insurance: all participants are required to have travel insurance, that includes cover travel and for any activities you may undertake while in the country.

• Visa - Please apply for a tourist visa and state the purpose of the visit as tourism. You can get your visa in advance (eVisa) or on arrival. If you plan to get one on arrival, you will need to pay for it in cash (USD). Remember that advanced visas are valid from the date of issue, not the date of entry to the country.   For this you will require an address. Please contact us for this information. If you are getting one in advance please supply us with a copy.

Accommodations

Resolute Health Outreach will help find accommodations for volunteers. The trip coordinator will contact you with information about where you are staying.

Participation Fees

Resolute Health Outreach is committed to keep participation fees as low as possible in order to ensure that as many people as possible may go on the trip.

The participation fee is $2,000, with the understanding that volunteers will still be allowed to participate if they do not raise the full amount. Volunteers however should fundraise at least $500 before departure.

The participation fee covers your international airfare, orientation expenses, in-country transportation, in-country room and board, all scheduled program expenses. The participation fee does not include immunizations, visa fees and travel insurance, and personal recreation activities and items.
